Donate to the children.
As a church, we ask ourselves the following question: How can we bring the church closer to the community and the community closer to the church? This is so that the community can draw closer to Christ. We have always focused on children and how to work with them more effectively. After many initiatives with children and adolescents, at the end of 2005 we requested the opening of a Compassion International Child Development Center (CDI). After prayer and continued work, it was approved in 2008. The management team consisted of Pastors Samuel and Narkis Compres, Evelin Sánchez, Emilia Alt. Romero (the director), and the ICOC elders. God opened every door, including the miracle expressed in Sister Bernarda Quezada, whom God used when the opening was going to be postponed because of the location. She was at a meeting and offered her house for the CDIC. Since then, she has formed an excellent team, and every day, as a church, we give our best to have a center of true integral development, where children and adolescents can grow as Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and grace for the glory of God and as a testimony to men.
We have more than 260 children and their families from the Quita Sueño community, Bajos de Haina, located 5 minutes from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
We have a team of professionals and volunteers belonging to the Community Church of Christianization, led by Sister Emilia Altg. Romero, serving with love and dedication, preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and providing comprehensive instruction to all its beneficiaries.
